BareMinerals Face Basics

Hello Lovelies, how are you today? Today I would like to share my Bareminerals obsession. Some of you may already know this about me, but I have been a Baremineral makeup user for over twelve years now, and although I may stray I always come back to it. I love the whole concept of mineral makeup, its pure and natural and good for your skin. I wish this had been around when I was in high school struggling with my horrible skin. I first heard about Bareminerals on an infomercial whilst in the States. Leslie Blodgett creator of Bareminerals was so warm and personable and most importantly believed in her brand and helping woman look and feel good about their skin. Having bad skin myself I thought I had to try this stuff. I got my self a started kit and never looked back. I got my sister, friends and cousins using it too! There are three foundations to choose from.

Original SPF 15 which has a soft luminous finish good for all skin types especially dry skin, improves the appearance of skin over time.

Matte SPF 15 which is perfect for oily problem skin helping to reduce pore size and promotes cell turnover, has a soft matte finish.

Ready SPF 20 which is the newest foundation, uses solid mineral technology  that provides 12 hour  wear, buildable coverage and 108%  hydration all in compact form. This is great for all skin types or those who are looking for very full coverage. Use with the flat top precision brush in smooth, long strokes.

Mineral Veil- This is the crème de la crème of all finishing powders! It is so fine its almost invisible but once swept over the skin the transformation to sheer perfection is hard to ignore. This is the final touch to your Bareminerals makeup and it truly is worth the hype! It literally transforms your skin into soft focus flawlessness! You can choose translucent, tinted, hydrating or both! I would never be without it.

Concealers- These little pots of pure crushed minerals provide SPF 20 protection, high pigmented coverage for on the spot application to cover acne scars, blemishes and pigmentation, even dark circles. Bareminerals now have cream and liquid  based concealers too. My favourites are Summer Bisque which I use to hide my pigmentation and Well Rested which I use under my eyes and as an eyelid base, to brighten up the eye area. It definitely lives up to its name!

Radiance- these are sheer washes of colour that can be used all over the face to create a celestial glow or to gently highlight the tops of cheekbones. Choose from an array of pink to peach to clear and rosy shades. I love Clear Radiance which gives a soft moonlit glow and Tropical Radiance which gives the most gorgeous golden peach glow, perfect for the summer with a tan.

Blush -is pretty self explanatory. You can choose from the Ready compact versions or the loose. I adore the loose Vintage Peach which is a gorgeous pinkie/peach shade with little flecks of gold.

Bareminerals is one of the most loved and cherished leading minerals brands in the world and I can see why. Loyal customer following of Leslie Blodgett who has poured her heart and soul into this makeup which shows on millions of women's faces each day.

June Favourites

Hello lovelies! So here we are another month gone by. Have you had fun?
Please enjoy the products I've been loving for the merry month of June :)

BareMinerals Wrinkle Repair a serum that smoothes away fine lines and wrinkles. Packed with the infamous Proprietary ActiveSoil Complex. It has no parabens or synthetic ingredients so super kind to skin. Love this stuff!!
BareMinerals Tropical Radiance-all over face colour a peachy sheen to brighten up the dullest of complexions. Use all over the face or just on the cheeks to subtlety highlight. This stuff will make you glow!

Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara if you want those wide awake dolly eyes, this is the mascara for you! It really does give you the longest lashes, not clumping or build up.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer 3 Medium my cheap go to everyday concealer. This is perfect for undereyes or blemishes. It has a matte finish and doesn't budge! Comparable to MAC Prolong Wear concealer. Love it!

Beauty Blender ye ol faithful! This is a must for blending foundation or concealer under the eye area. Super soft and gets into those hard to reach places like the inner corner of the eye or around the nose. Gives a superb finish to any foundation.

Double Wear Foundation long lasting, beautiful smooth finish, makes me look fresh and awake. I enjoy using this for work. Super blendable too.

Sigma Round Top Kabuki Brush love using this with my DW, it distributes the foundation beautifully around my face. Nice and soft on the skin. Leaves a perfect, even finish.

Thank you so much for stopping by! What are your favourites this summer?

Amazing way to apply Bare Minerals Matte Foundation!

As you may know I love my BareMinerals, have been using it for years! I was so delighted when Matte came out, because I have really oily skin and it really is true to its name. Nothing and I mean nothing keeps my face oil free like this does. I literally don't blot till the end of the day! wow!
I have fallen head over heals inlove with this application method. I know alot of people have problems with the coverage of BM matte VS the original So applying it this way gives alot more coverage in one go.
Ok so what I do is spritz Mac fix + on my kabuki brush then swirl it into my BareMinerals and it turns it into the most wonderful consistency that covers in one swirl, tap and buff motion leaving skin utterly smooth and unbelievably flawless! My skin looks super smooth, beautifully matte and it doesn't budge all day! Perfect for the summertime. I finish with a spray of Urban Decay de slick setting spray. Watch my video below to see how I apply it.

Bare Minerals Matte Mineral Foundation

Hello all hope the month of February is treating you well. So I have decided to give my Bare Minerals Matte another go. When you go onto their website http://bareminerals.co.uk/ it kind of reels you into their mineral glory and I get obsessed all over again! I have the shade Light which I think is a tad too dark for me at the moment. I apply with the kabuki brush which gives the fullest coverage of all the brushes.  This takes getting used to and patience. You have to make sure you have moisturised well. Then starting on the outside of your face near you cheekbones gently buff working your way into the centre of you face. You don't get immediate coverage with this straight away, you really have to buff and buff which can be annoying but the pay off is rather spectacular and the more I use it the better my skin seems to look. I have an oily T-zone so this is perfect for keeping the oil at bay. I still use the mineral veil over top to give a real soft focus glow. I have been using this for a few days now and I think its working for me. It definitely lasts all day and I only blot twice if that.

I just love the whole concept of  BareMinerals and its philosophy. The CEO Leslie Blodgett is such a lovely, down to earth person I just adore her personality and how she takes the time to interact and inspire people all over the world.
I also love the packaging oh its so beautiful and the layout of boutiques are stunning! I even love the type font!!

Now too see what I shall purchase next... I have my eye on the new Active Cell Renewal Night Serum and the new eyeshadow quads! oooh how exciting! Oh and I just ordered the Brightening Prime Time Primer! YAY!
