Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum Review

Hello lovelies and Happy New Year!! Kicking off the New Year I'm all about getting my skin in the best possible condition. It couldn't be easier since using this little miracle in a brown bottle. Yes you've all heard the rave on this and its true its absolutely amazing! Results are literally over night, I'm not exaggerating. Advanced Night Repair was first introduced in 1982 and has been a number one seller ever since! It has recently been reformulated with the synchronised recovery complex II giving it even more power for the modern day face. It is an anti-age night serum which repairs damaged skin and dramatically reduces the signs of ageing while you sleep. It is a fact that while we sleep our bodies ability to regenerate is much faster that during the day as we are fighting pollution, sun and daily ageing elements. It also protects you skin in the long term against future damage from UVA and UVB light, smoke and pollution.
A serum is used before a moisturiser and is absorbed by the skin on a much deeper epidermal level resulting in maximum and continuous skin repair. The texture is light and silky and melts into skin. ANR contains vital levels of Hyaluronic Acid which help the skin retain moisture instantly and overtime.
So if you are unhappy with your skin or its looking a bit lacklustre give this a try, you won't regret it. Its perfect for all skin types and best of all doesn't cause breakouts!

From Desk to Dancefloor in 5 Easy Steps

Hello lovelies! It's that time of year again where Christmas drinks and parties are upon us. So I've put together five super easy steps to glam up your work face and be party ready in no time!

I know the feeling, you've been up since 6am, your face has gone through near enough nine hours already with makeup clinging on for dear life. You've got dinner and drinks after work or a last minute catch up with a friend. You need to freshen up that face pronto!
If you are anything like me in the morning the less I have to do the better! For me its the basics: foundation, concealer, powder, blush, mascara and lipstick. I don't do eyeshadow for work because I frankly can't be bothered nor do I have the time to spare.

Now be careful, what you don't want to do is go and pile on a load more makeup and look like a cakeface or worse unrecognisable to your colleagues! I know Ive made these heinous mistakes
I remember going for dinner with the bf and his old uni friends that I had never met before,  I'm at work putting on more lippy and blush and one of the Partners of the firm said to me  " look at you tarting yourself up" I was mortified! Honestly I don't think I ever touched up my makeup again after that. You really want to only touch up what has disappeared so lips are one of the first to go, then around the nose and mouth. If you are going to a party or drinks play up either your eyes or your lips and add a touch of highlight on your cheekbones and et voila you are ready to party.

Step 1. Freshen up your base. I remember girls taking off all their makeup and starting again from scratch! Ain't nobody got time for that! Blot any oil or excess product that has melted away on your face, spritz with a hydrating facial spray, then lightly powder your T-zone. Choose a long wearing foundation. I use Estee Lauder Doublewear and this does not need touching up at all! If you don't have a long wearing foundation, touch up with a smidgen of concealer or a powder foundation as this will have a bit of coverage rather than just translucent powder.

Step 2. Add some colour. If your blush has faded add the tiniest amount of you what you used that morning use with a stippling brush for the lightest touch, less is more trust me!

Step 3. Highlight those cheekbones and under you brow bone.

Step 4. Eyes: Line with black Kohl and smudge out for a quick smokey effect. Or dab some sparkle pigment on the centre of you lid for a bit of glitz!

Step 5. Lips: Line and fill in your lips, pop on your fave lippie and gloss.

Finish with a final spritz of your favourite setting spray and away you go!

This isn't by any means rules to abide by, it is just what I have tried and works best on me.

What are your tips and tricks for getting face ready after work?

Bare Minerals Matte Mineral Foundation

Hello all hope the month of February is treating you well. So I have decided to give my Bare Minerals Matte another go. When you go onto their website http://bareminerals.co.uk/ it kind of reels you into their mineral glory and I get obsessed all over again! I have the shade Light which I think is a tad too dark for me at the moment. I apply with the kabuki brush which gives the fullest coverage of all the brushes.  This takes getting used to and patience. You have to make sure you have moisturised well. Then starting on the outside of your face near you cheekbones gently buff working your way into the centre of you face. You don't get immediate coverage with this straight away, you really have to buff and buff which can be annoying but the pay off is rather spectacular and the more I use it the better my skin seems to look. I have an oily T-zone so this is perfect for keeping the oil at bay. I still use the mineral veil over top to give a real soft focus glow. I have been using this for a few days now and I think its working for me. It definitely lasts all day and I only blot twice if that.

I just love the whole concept of  BareMinerals and its philosophy. The CEO Leslie Blodgett is such a lovely, down to earth person I just adore her personality and how she takes the time to interact and inspire people all over the world.
I also love the packaging oh its so beautiful and the layout of boutiques are stunning! I even love the type font!!

Now too see what I shall purchase next... I have my eye on the new Active Cell Renewal Night Serum and the new eyeshadow quads! oooh how exciting! Oh and I just ordered the Brightening Prime Time Primer! YAY!
