LUSH!

Hello all. So I picked up a few goodies from lush the other day! Yay! Mega raves about the Bubble Bars so I got The Comforter which smells sweet like candy it gives you a warm aroma of blackcurrants that soothes and relaxes you. It turns your bath water pink!! I love it!! Its amazing how much bubbles this produces and how moisturizing it is. This is great when you feel like you want to hide away from the world, it is exactly that... a comforter!

The second bubble bar I got was Blue Skys and Fluffy White Clouds, I absolutely love the smell of this! This has Patchouli Oil and Frankincense which give it a more earthy tone. This promotes peace and meditation and it ultra calming. The scent is sooo relaxing like being in a spa. and it turns your water blue! This has to be my favourite I love the smell of Frankincense.
Aqua Mirabilis

This beauty is a solid scrub bar which has cocoa and almond butter with moisturizes and ground almond shells that exfoliate your skin. This is perfect for troublesome areas like thighs, bums and forearms. It leaves skins smooth and very soft. It also has sandalwood and rose oils. I must say it does smell like biscuits but it does a superb job at making my backside super soft and smooth! yay!

Ok last but in no means least is the Bubble Gum Lip Scrub! This is utter genius! It bright pink sugar that smells and tastes of bubble gum! It exfoliates your lips and you can lick it off! It edible! Its made with exfoliating caster sugar and vegan flavour. This is fantastic I love it!!

Mineral Foundation

I have a love hate relationship with my BareMinerals, I mean sometimes it works, looks great and other times it just does nothing for me. I used swear by Bare Minerals and when the Matte version came out I was overjoyed. Well, I tried my BM Matte the other day, got into the office and looked in the mirror,I looked like I didn't have a stitch of makeup on my face! Its all very well that it is natural and a little goes along way, but I really don't want to have to layer 5 layers of powder till I see some moderate coverage.
I rather wear one layer of full coverage foundation. I got a mini sample of Jane Iredale and had high hopes for it... well it had no coverage what so ever :-( Perhaps if my skin was amazingly smooth and clear it may work but for now I'm sticking with liquids.

Weekly Treats

So along with your fabulous skincare regime ;-) its a good idea to treat your skin to a scrub or a cleansing mask a couple of times a week. A regular usage of a scrub will help slough off those dead skin cells making for a fresher smoother surface, it will also maximise the absorption of your serum and moisturizer. A weekly mask will (depending on your skin type and need) draw out any impurities, hydrate dry skin and deep cleanse congested skin. I like to put s mud mask on from Liz Earle which uses all natural ingredients, about once a week in the bath for about 20 mins. The heat from the bath water will open your pores making your mask work wonders.
If you want to give yourself a complete facial, you can cleanse, scrub and then put on your mask following after with the rest of your skincare regime.
A great non abrasive exfoliant is the Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant, this is great for sensitive skins too! It smoothes on just like a cream which you leave on for about 10-15 mins.
"A convenient two-in-one mask/exfoliation treatment, Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant provides chemical exfoliation using lactic acid and salicylic acid, which slough off the dead skin cells, speeding cell renewal, while extracts of lavender, aloe vera and cornflower help soothe skin. Contains no artificial fragrance or colour. "
This stuff is amazing!! My skin feel super smooth after this! Love it!

Waterbobble!!

oooh look what I found!! I read about this in the Liz Earle seasonal news letter. Its called the Waterbobble.http://www.waterbobble.com/ It houses a tiny filter inside the bottle that purifies your water as you drink it! Genius! So not only is it environmentally friendly ( and end to throwing away endless plastic bottles) it saves you a ton of money too! I ordered mine today! It comes in all colours and sizes.

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo and Conditioner

As you may know Liz Earle is a firm favourite of mine and I was thrilled when she introduced a hair care range! One shampoo that suites all hair types, much like the beloved cleanse and polish and three conditioners one for dry hair, oily hair and normal hair. Each one protects and prolongs coloured hair.
The shampoo is SLS/SLES free, its got vitamin E, West African shea butter to moisturise plus apple and orange extracts to boost shine!

I don't think I will ever switch to another shampoo again, this is everything I expect and more from Liz Earle. My hair is super shiny, soft and manageable. Love it!

Aveda Damage Remedy- Daily Hair Repair

I love this product, I use it on my ends after I've washed my hair, to lock in moisture, detangle and prevent split ends. I think the whole Aveda range is brill and I love the smell too.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde- Go Blonder

This is a blonde colour inhancing leave in spray. It actually lightens up your roots too!
You spray it on to damp hair where ever you want to be blonder and blow dry as its heat activated.

I use this on my roots, and it lightens them considerably blending in nicely with the rest of my hair meaning less trips to the salon.

Mary Kay TimeWise 3in1 Cleanser for Oily/Combination skin

So I received my Mary Kay TimeWise 3 in 1 cleanser over the weekend after the rave reviews it got from my favourite beauty guru ever Samantha Schuerman! http://samanthaschuerman.blogspot.com/   I have used this a few times, and it removed my Revlon Colourstay completely! It is anti-ageing and formulated for sensitive skin. It contains tiny exfoliating beads that deep cleanse without over drying the skin. My face feels squeaky clean afterwards, not tight or dry at all. I might have to purchase the moisturizer too!
